THE LOVE OF THE FATHER

The Love of the Father

Embracing the Boundless Love of Our Heavenly Father

At the heart of ENLIM lies the profound and transformative love of our Heavenly Father. This love, boundless and unconditional, is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. It is a love that transcends our understanding, a love that is perfectly demonstrated through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Ultimate Sacrifice of Jesus

The greatest expression of the Father’s love is found in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. Sent into the world not to condemn it, but to save it, Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross for each of us. In doing so, He took upon Himself the weight of our sins, our shame, and our brokenness. Through His sacrificial death, He paid the ultimate price, offering us the gift of eternal life and reconciliation with God.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

This verse encapsulates the depth of God’s love for humanity. It is a love that sacrifices, a love that forgives, and a love that redeems. By His wounds, we are healed; by His sacrifice, we are made whole.

Grace: The Unmerited Favor of God

The cross is the pinnacle of grace—God’s unmerited favour towards us. Grace is not earned by our efforts or deserved by our merits; it is freely given by a loving Father who desires a personal relationship with each of us. It is through grace that we are saved, not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). This grace transforms our lives, empowering us to live in the fullness of God’s love and purpose.

Living in the Father’s Love

As children of God, we are called to live in the light of the Father’s love, embracing it in every aspect of our lives. This love calls us to:

1. Rest in His Presence: Be anxious for nothing, just rest! The Father’s love invites us to come as we are, resting in His presence without fear, anxiety or condemnation. In His presence, we find peace, joy, and the strength to face each day.

2. Reflect His Love to Others: We are called to be vessels of God’s love, showing kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to those around us. Just as we have received grace, we are to extend it to others, reflecting the heart of the Father. By this shall the nations know that we are Jesus’ disciples, if we have love one to another.

3. Walk in Freedom: You have been set free!! The ransom has been paid for you. The love of the Father sets us free from the chains of sin and guilt. In Christ, we are new creations, empowered to live in righteousness and truth. This freedom allows us to pursue our God-given destiny with confidence and boldness.

4. Grow in Relationship: The Father’s love draws us into a deeper relationship with Him. Through prayer, worship, and the study of His Word, we grow in our understanding of His character and His will for our lives.

5. Hope for the Future: The love of the Father assures us of a glorious future. No matter the trials we face, we have the hope of eternal life, which is the very life of God in us and the promise of His unwavering presence with us. Child of God you have a glorious destiny!!
