We believe in the supremacy of God’s word and affirm that the Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for faith and practice. It is the sole standard of truth and is the pattern for Christian living.
2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Peter 1:21: “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, each fully God.
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 13:1*: “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
We believe in God the Father, the almighty Creator of heaven and earth. He is sovereign, loving, and just, actively involved in His creation and in the salvation of humanity.
We believe that God wills and works in men and that His purposes are fulfilled by His work through us who believe.
Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Ephesians 4:6: “One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides salvation for the soul of everyone who believes and divine healing for the body
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, sanctifies them, and empowers them for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, uniting them to Christ.
We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Spirit, he/she receives divine enablement for Christian service and witness
John 16:13: “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”
Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not by works, but by grace, that we are saved. Those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are justified, adopted as children of God, and granted eternal life.
We believe that we are justified by faith, and have received the free gift of righteousness through God’s Grace, which gift is not of works
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
We believe that the Church is a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all believers are members. We also believe in the local church, a community of believers who gather in one accord.
1 Corinthians 12:27: “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
We believe in the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is a public declaration of faith, symbolizing the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper commemorates Christ’s atoning sacrifice and anticipates His return.
Matthew 28:19: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-26: “And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ in glory. He will establish His kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and create a new heaven and a new earth. Believers will dwell eternally with God, while unbelievers will face eternal separation from Him.
Acts 1:11: “‘Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.'”
Revelation 21:1-4: “Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'”
This Statement of Faith outlines the core beliefs of our grace-believing church, rooted in the Scriptures and centered on the transformative grace of God through Jesus Christ.
